Greek Style Meatballs

INGREDIENTS

For the meatballs
  • 500 g ground beef, lean
  • 1 big onion, mashed or finely chopped
  • 2 gloves of garlic, mashed
  • 5 slices bread, soaked in water and squeezed
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons GAEA KALAMATA Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon GAEA Ancient Greek Balsamic
  • 1 snaks olives kalamata
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh pepper & Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Origano
  • Flour for frying

For the "tzatziki"
  • 250 gr of greek yogurt KRIKRI
  • 2 gloves of garlic, mashed
  • 1 cucumber finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • Salt & pepper
  • 2 tablespoons GAEA Extra Virgin Olive Oil with a dash of garlic

 

EXECUTION

Combine all of the ingredients in a large salad bowl by mixing together with your hands .
The mixture should be slightly wet so that the meatballs will turn out very fluffy and juicy.
Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours or preferably overnight.
The following day,prepare the meatballs .
In a flat dish put the flour and well covered all the meatballs .
Frying for 5 minutes.
When ready, serve with tzatziki sauce and french fries..

 

TZATZIKI

In a large   glasse bowl, combine all the ingredients except the olive oil.
When the mix becomes homogeneous put on top some drops of olive oil .
On top as decoration you can put some leaves of fresh mint leaves
.
